Topic: RE: unflavored protein powder
I ordered mine from the unjury website. I'm still playing with the amounts to make it tasteless. Yogurt is the only thing I mix it in where I can't taste it. I can taste in crystal light. Tonight I added to my soup and it was okay.

I love Rita's...I didn't even remember that they had sugar free flavors.

I was banded on the 12th in Missouri.  Just moved to pureed foods on Mon.  Cottage cheese and mashed potatoes never tasted soooo good.

Topic: RE: Calling all March 30th...
I'm almost ready. I bought all my food for the first couple of weeks. I haven't packed yet, but I don't plan on taking too much. I'm definitely having a hard time concentrating at work. I'm not too irritable...just starting to get nervous. My house is a MESS! I'm off tomorrow, so I'll spend the day getting my house in order. My family is so-so in the support department.

I am SO ready to take this ride too!

This is for all the lucky people that are having sugery on March 30!!

How are you feeling now? Are you on a liquid diet and if so how is that going?
Have you packed your hospital bag yet? For all those working ppl have you seen your patience deminish on the job? Do you feel like cussing everyone who looks at you twisted out?
How is your family handling your upcoming surgery? Supportive/non supportive?

Just trying to get an idea of what others are feeling...I myself am a ball of emotion!

6 days till they strap me for the ride of my live!!!

wow I was 3/17 as well. However I have been on pureed foods since the hospital. They fed me tuna salad while I was there. I've been feeling great. It is amazing how different doctors believe in different post op treatment.

My godson works at Rita's Italian Ice, (not sure who has it near them), anyway he brought me some sugar free pineapple ice. It's fabulous and it's a great treat. It's only 35 calories per serving and no sugar. If you enjoy ice pops and such, give it a try!

Topic: RE: Anyone have problems with Acid??
My doctor told me to take chewable Pepcid Complete. It works wonders for me. I have a lot of acid still too, not as bad as before, but still there. Good luck!

Everyone is different. Same surgery day and I'm also doing protein drinks,  cream soups and today I had cream of wheat with a little bit of sugar free syrup. So far so good. Hang in there you need to listen to your Doc.
