Topic: Feeling kind of icky the last few days
still have prissy pouch.....foamy acid is what i like to call it.  Its a constant foamy sour taste going on in the pouch.   Doc put me on some new meds for reflux and they help, somewhat.  I have also changed my diet regimen.  I was using Celebration chewables for everything and i dont think that they were agreeing with me.  Have had some relief since going back to my regular vitamins and supplements.

yesterday and today i have also been feeling really tired.  have been having a real hard time getting my protein and fluids in too.  i'm not sick, just icky feeling.  I know i have to get going again on the protein (have been doing so well until these last few days)...guess i've just gotten myself into a slump.  I see my surgeon on Monday for my 1 month follow up...we'll see what he says then.

thanks for listening

p.s.  anyone need celebration vitamins/supplements...let me know , i have a 3 month supply i wont be using

I tried that too and it was gross!  I just added a packet of splenda to it and it helped a little more.... But I have found that I tolerate Cream of Wheat just fine with a little splenda too.  Hope that helps :)

Also I used to eat the low sugar stuff before my surgery and it dosn't taste that much better.... plus there is alot more sugar than your little pouch can handle!!

Glad to hear you ladies are doing well.

I really haven't had much problem since surgery.  I've tolerated everything fine, diet-wise.

The only minor problem is last week, I had a bad bout of constipation.  My bariatric center was closed (this happened in the evening), so I had to contact my PCP.  He told me to take some mineral oil, which helped out a lot.  I did make it a point to ask him if mineral oil was WLS-friendly, and he assured me it was.

I've only been walking so far for exercise.  My bariatric center likes to wait until the 2nd post-op visit (which, for me, will be 6 weeks after surgery - April 14) to clear people for exercise.  Coincidentally, that is also the date I go on the soft foods diet.

When I weighed in at my first post-op appointment on March 12, I weighed 321, which is 19 pounds down, officially.  Later in the month, I weighed myself on the scales at a local mall, and I was 310, so I am unofficially 30 pounds down.  Yay me!

Hi Bob,
Glad to know you are doing well.  I went back to work today and am tired.   Having a hard time getting in my water and sometimes my protein.  I have lost @ 20 lbs and thought it would come off quicker so I am really trying hard to get my water and protein in hoping this will help.  M y right knee and left heel spur currently are acting up so I have not been doing as much walking as I would like.  Hopefully it will soon stay warm and then I will try bike riding.....not so hard on my joints.  Hope all is well with all the March 2nders.,
Take Care
Trish

Hey guys!  How is everyone doing?  I was banded on Monday as well.  Pain isn't too bad, in fact, not having to take the pain meds today.  The gas is the most annoying part.  Trying to move as much as possible - certainly feel better when I do.

What are you drinking?  Have you started on Isopure yet?  I'm just doing jello, broth and herbal tea.

Thanks for the well-wishes and prayers! I made it through surgery with some swelling and an infection, but I am now home and recovering. Can't wait for this journey to really get underway!

Hey Bob, I'm doing ok. I had a set back with my food last week. Couldn't keep anything down, so I went back to the softer foods. I started exercising last week, that's going ok. I'm only down 23lbs since surgery. I get a little discouraged about that, but I'm sticking with it and hoping it starts going faster soon.
How are you feeling?

I was wondering how all the rest of the people who had surgery on March 2 are doing.

I know how Emily is doing, and myself, of course.  But, how has everyone else fared in the past month?  Good or bad, lets stick together and be there for each other, March 2'ers!

Bob
