Energy is starting to pick up finally. Some days better than others. Vitamins and protein make all the difference!

Topic: RE: So how many here have had the two to three week stall??

Boy was I there! I had the stall 3 weeks after surgery. Then after that I lost 2lbs, 1lbs, 3lbs. Small amounts but it added up. It will happen to you too! Don't worry. Just stick with it and you will see a difference soon. It's very frustrating I know. In fact I hit 30lbs and now I'm at another stall so I'm patiently waiting!

Boy our March board sure is slow.  How are all you March post-ops doing?  Has anyone else hit the dreaded two or three week post op stall.  I lost almost 18 pounds in the first two weeks post-op and now for over a week (9 days to be exact) I have lost absolutely nothing.  I've read posts where it can last two weeks before I start losing again.  I'm frustrated, although my rational brain does still prevail at times and reminds my irrational brain that it's totally normal.  So how is everyone else doing??

YAY Shannon!  You're doing great so far!  I don't go for, essentially, my 1 month checkup until Tuesday (the 14th), so we'll see what I am down to, weight-wise.

my RNY was 3-12 and I'm down 10 pounds.

We're doing just fine.
It's the end game that's important...keeping the weight off when we reach that goal weight.

It's impossible for us to keep our current size with only 800-1200 calories and protein dominate dietary habit. Everyone's body reacts differently at various stages. Some people drop massive the first month, some put on weight while their bodies heal.
Others have age &/or other medical conditions which contribute to weight loss trends.

Either way, your stats are a healthy drop and be proud about your achievement & step towards a better lifestyle.

I too could eat the Yogurt...just not in less than 20-30 minutes.

Yes, our pouch is about 2 oz (2 inches) by now so it's ok to eat more than the first few weeks.

I find I can eat 1 scramble egg which fills me up too.
Also, I can eat the Taco Bell pintos - n- cheese
just not both together. Usually have to put 1-2 hours between the two.

But, I can also eat 1 cup of egg flower soup in 15-20 minutes which is interesting contrast verses one scrambled egg. I figure the liquid passes quicker & the egg is much softer.

Topic: hungry already?????
Okay, so i am almost a month post-op and havent felt any hunger pains for the last month.  And is seems like this week i have been hungry. I mean feeling the hunger pains.  Isnt that too soon to start to feel hungry again?? I can eat a little more, but im still on the soft foods stage.  I can eat a whole yogurt (6 oz) and I thought that was a lot, too soon?  Anyone else notice themselves consuming more??  I hope my pouch isnt strechted out!!
