Topic: one month surgiversary!
Yesterday was one month since my RNY surgery. I've been out of town this week so I don't know how much weight I've lost (I was at 24 lbs last week), but I'm so happy to be feeling better and to finally feel energy and to be trying new foods. How is everone else doing?
Topic: RE: So how many here have had the two to three week stall??
I am so glad I saw this!! I actually called my Dr. and asked them why I wasnt loosing. They said this was totally normal and things will pick up again. And they seem to be picking up again now. I was stressed!! I thought, I can loose 19 pounds without surgery, I went through all this for 19 pounds!! Now I am back to loosing and am down nearly 5 pounds in the past 10 days. Thanks for posting this Melody!! Very reassuring to hear others are in the same boat!!
Topic: shrinking feet
Yes, it is true. Your feet really do shrink after WLS. Before WLS I was wearing a size 12. I went and got fit for new orthotics and shoes today and I was measured at a size 10. I am so excited. That means I can buy shoes at regular shoe stores now instead of having to special order offline. Yippee. I have worn a 12 for so long that I have been stuck in wearing Crocs because I just couldn't find a cute shoe. I feel a shopping spree coming on.

Congrats on your surgery. I had my RNY on Mar 2. It has been a wild ride so far. I am 53 pounds down. Keep us updated on your progress.

Topic: RE: Feeling Sick all the time
Robin, hang in there it will get better. I was nauseous for about the first 3 weeks. After that it got better every day. I was feeling really cooped up too, so I started taking a walk every day. It was really hard at first because I have a physical disability, but it is getting easier and easier as the weight comes off. Keep your chin up.
