I'm starting to feel a little down. My surgery was on March 2 and I'm about 4.5 months out. I am now down 61 pounds. Even though I'm feeling really good, I feel like I should have lost more. I spoke to my surgeon and he said I needed to up my calories from 800 to about 1200 a day while I'm working out. I did that and I am taking in more water and still it's going very slow. The first few days of that I dropped a few pounds right away, and then it stopped. I feel like I'm never going to reach my goal weight and I'm going to be stuck here forever. Any advice/suggestions?

Thanks! Congrats on your weight loss so far!! You should count those 22 lbs! You worked hard to get them off, you should count them!!

Yeah - I get 60-90 grams of protein a day, and I take all my vitamins and calcium every day.

Great job!! You are doing very well ! Keep up the good work! I had my surgery March 9th and I have lost 85 so far including the 2 week pre-op diet. I am so happy I had the chance to have RNY.
Melody - I agree....I wish us Marcher's would post more often. I check the board once in a while but I agree, it's a very slow board......maybe we can work on that :-)

I had surgery a couple of weeks before you and I too am more than half way to my goal. I have lost a total of 85 lbs (including the 2 week pre-op diet). I have 65 more lbs to go to reach my goal! I am exactly like you, I was wearing a tight 22/24 and have lost down to a size 16. It's amazing how much better losing the weight makes us feel!

Congratulations and wtg! I guess I'm about halfway to my goal too if you count the 22 pounds I lost before surgery, but I tend to just count from surgery day (not sure why), so I still have a ways to go to be halfway...I've lost 49.2 since surgery and have another 73 or so to go (although really my ideal goal is still another 83 pounds away).
