Well that is cool... I wonder if mine will do it at the 6 month check up... I am hoping so.

Our program does bloodwork at the 3 month mark and that is where she could see it. We will be doing my next set of labs for the 6 month appointments and then we have other followups on us after that up through the 5 year mark after surgery.

Protein is good.
How could the Nut tell that you were not absorbing the protein you were eating? (Just curious)
I have not had any blood work yet since my surgery. I am curious to how I am doing with allof my vitamins, minerals, and protein.

Topic: RE: the hair...
I usually have heard that it takes a minimum of a month for naything you add to help with the amount of hair loss and that even without adding anything you usually will quit losing by 6 months and then will begin regrowing.
Topic: RE: What am I doing wrong?
Everyone loses at different rates. You are doing well, and continue to lose, so I wouldn't look at it as doing anything wrong. Between my hypothyroidism and more stalls than I can count, I am only doing an average of 11 pounds a month so far, am considered a slow loser, but my surgeon is happy to see it and actually warned me before surgery that she expected me not to be one of the quick losers and figured it would take me more than the one year mark to get to goal. Think of it this way, prior to March would you ever have imagined losing 61 pounds in even more than 4.5 months? Celebrate the good side of it and keep it up instead of focusing on the negative. It can be hard when you come on here and read of others who are losing faster, but everyone has different starting weights/heights/and different bodies which all react differently to all of these changes. Congrats on the 61 pounds, that must be making a huge change in how you feel these days :-)

I was usually aorund 800-900 a day with a high day being almost 1000 occasionally, but at my 3 month appt. with the nut. I found out my body isn't processing the protein well, so she added more protein and told me that calories are going to have to go up just to get the extra protein in. I need to get back to tracking the calories and see where I am right now, but protein is my main goal these days.
