My doctor office gave me March 23rd as my sugery date,still pending insurance approval.my folder has been submitted to my insurance co.my doctor says I meet their requirements and he doestn't  think that I wouldn't be approved,therefor he gave me a date.

I just got a March 11th date too!  I'm having Lapband.

Hi Bev!  My name is Laura and I also am having my surgery on March 10--At Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo with Dr Alan Saber.  What  hospital will you be at? I've been on two websites and have found few people from Michigan.  Strange that you're so close!  I start my liquid diet on the 23rd and although not looking forward to starving, it will mark the start of the whole process for me.  Good luck with your surgery and let's be Happy Michigan Losers together!

I'm a March 2nd also.  Almost gave up. 0It's taken almost a year after everything was approved.   The doctors are military at Fort Gordon and even though they have done many gastric bypasses, they have never done the Lap Band.  I'm one of the first, and the Dr. told me that I didn't have to go through that pre-op diet if I maintain the same weight on surgery date, but she said that even a little shrinking of the liver is better, so I will try to do that liquid diet about 5 days out.
