Well, I finally got my cardio clearence and I am just waiting for the Dr. to look over my tests. The office let me pick a tentative surgery date though. Lets hope it works out. I am so excited I want to tell the the world!!!!

I also am currently scheduled with Dr. Aceves on the 14th, but may change to the 12th. I will know on Monday. Regardless, I am kind'a nervous!! Where will you be coming from and anyone coming with you?

It's taking FOREVER! My birthday's this Wednesday, so while I can't wait for my surgery date to come, I want to enjoy my birthday week. It's kinda like having a baby...you don't know that you'll love your baby so much until they arrive, and once they do, it's hard to remember life without them.

I think I'm just going to fast anyways-- just in case. On the paperwork I got it says "Gastric bypass patients must fast prior to their lab drawn" I'm pretty sure that applies to me also. I did ask to speak to a nurse after good 'ol Gary told me I didn't have to fast. When I asked the nurse she sounded confused too LOL. So I don't have a definite answer to my question. All the nurse said was to drink plenty of water.

No, he didn't say anything special but the paperwork that Dr. Beekley gave me said that I would have to fast for the surgical services appt. What day did you get your appt for?

I am sooo excited, my date is around the corner. My husband is being very supportive (at first he was not) Everyone at work is supportive but now I hear the are you sure, are you scared, maybe you should try this. I am so sure though that I have made the right decision. The skinny person is finally going to get to come out.

I have been thru all of those feelings too. One day I think why am I wasting all this money I can lose it on my own. Then I remember that I have lost it only to gain it back again. I want something permanent. I dont want to do the YO YO anymore.
I will be your online support if you would like, we can be there for each other. Im going to Mexico to have the surgery and Im going all by myself. Im looking forward to some ME time and go shopping when I feel up to it.
