Wow, found out Friday 2/20 that my insurance approved the procedure (gastric bypass) and my tentative surgery date is March 31st!  So I guess they pencil me in until I pay this $500 program fee and then they "pen" me in!  The fee covers all follow-up in the coming year (nutritionist, psychologist, surgeon, etc)....and I guess there will be pre-op tests?

It's amost time for this most positive trip to begin; glad to meet my travel companions with our March dates!  Talk soon!

Hi again, My husband says now he wants to go with me, Im not sure if he will or not. I have already booked my flight down there. I got a really good deal. Either way I will be fine. I have been thru alot in the last 3 years, I was diagnosed with cancer and have had 9 surgeries!!!  So this one seems like a cake walk to me LOL. 

I would love to keep in contact and watch each others weight loss. I have a big family gathering in June so I would like to have a good sized chunk off by then. That is my first mini goal, I want the rest off by the time I hit the big 50 next January.

Hi Shannon - congratulations on getting your date.  Mine is March 9th and I go through spurts of being a little nervous, but only when I think about it too much.  I'm just so excited and anxious to have the surgery, I don't think I'll 'freak out' til the night before - LOL.
