Hi guys-
sorry i've been a flake
its been a while...so i am sitting here freaking out alot...i mean alot. I really think I am going to die on March 20th. I told my husband I don't want to fight between now and then because i don't want to waste my last days with him.
seriously, this is bad....i need the surgery want the surgery but I keep thinking i am not going to wake up from the surgery.
My son has a field trip the day of the surgery and i thought to myself i won't be able to ask him how it went.
what are the new stats...also, any u of c people that can reassure me i'll be ok.

Hey everyone, I just found out today that my surgery date is March 9th! I can't wait. Of course have the pre surgery jitters, but I just cant wait to get started in the right direction. Good luck to everyone, keep it up we are only one week away!!

I once did a week long apple juice colon clease thing (it was horrible) So i definetly know what you are going throgh not being able to eat. I can tell you that what helped me through it was drinking tons of water! I am not sure if you can drink the protein or the meal replacement shakes but if you can then try that! If that dosn't help then I would call your doctor and see if you might be able to have some crackers or something. Keep strong girl, you are almost there! Just a few more days!!!
Topic: March 9th!
Well the Bariatric Nurse called me this morning and let me know that I would either be having my surgery on the 5th or the 9th and she would call me back and let me know by the end of the day. Well she just called back and told me that I would be having it on the 9th. I am glad its a week away so I don't feel like I have to rush to get last minute things done prior to the surgery . What is everyone packing to take the the hospital, cause I have no idea what to bring!

Just got a call from Emily's mother, she did great and is out of surgery. She will be in recovery for the next 2 to 3 hours.

I've never been so excited to have surgery. Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass is what I've chosen to do. I wish all of you the best and a speedy recovery.

good luck to you both! I am fortunate that I live close to the hospitol so I will make it there but it is storming here too. School is canceled though so my 10 year old will be coming to the hospitol with us.
