Hey guys
I got a call this morning from Emily, she is back in the hospital with atelectasis. George took her there, I think early this morning. She was running a temp, they are giving her breathing tx and antibiotics.
She is at St Francis in room 9114
PS this is wikipedia def of Atelectasis
Atelectasis is a collapse of lung tissue affecting part or all of one lung.[1] It is a condition where the alveoli are deflated, as distinct from pulmonary consolidation. Infant respiratory distress syndrome is another distinct type of atelectasis.

Hey Everyone,
I had my appointment with the Cardiologist and my EKG was normal! Thank God. I do have a Mitral Valve Prolapse that I have known about for years and I have to have an Echo done on Thursday. But the good news is that my surgery can go on as scheduled. I hope everyone is hanging in there. Monday will be here before we know it.
Hard to believe that after all the rigamarole w/doctor's visits and pre-op testing, the date fast approaches. While a little nervous, I am psyched! I've been on a liquid diet, part-time for a month (my original date was back in February) and strictly since 2/22. While I thought I was doing well I know this is not a sustainable wieght-loss method. Surgery is! I took my pre-op photos last night and realize (no pun intended) that I have a ways to go - never-the-less, I am so ready for this. I wish all of us on the upcoming schedule an easy go of it and much success.
