I had surgery on the second. I'm still really sore...hoping that it will pass soon. Other then that it was uneventful.

Topic: Emily Update

Hi all,

While I was in Tulsa today for my consult appointment, I went by and saw Emily. She is looking good, but is on O2, and says that everytime they take her off the O2 her saturation levels drop. Dr. Says that she will be in the hospital until she is off the oxygen.

She has a viril infection that she probably picked up from her family.

She is in a lot of pain especially on the left side, the Dr. said that it was gas. They are giving her Morphine every 2 hours for the pain

Well done lad well done.. Wiizy had been keeping me informed about your condition.. My best I have been ill so I haven't been around my recovery has been hard but I would do it all over again.. All the best Bobbie.. And welcome to the wild side-Layla (lost 45 lbs since December so far)

How did everyone's surgery go on the 2nd?

I saw Emily is having issues, and I pray that she pulls through with flying colors.

As for me, mine went very well, with the oinor hiccup of my blood sugar being elevated in recovery. That forced them to keep me in recovery for longer than expected. I was there for 2 and a half hours.

My surgery date is 3/6/9 also

I've been on the pre-op diet since 16 January...2-3 protein drinks (EAS AdvantEDGE Carb Control) a day plus one small meal of 1oz chicken, fish or turkey and 2oz veggies plus lots of water. Today I've had jello and broth so I feel like I've cheated almost LOL! I also just drank the grape flavored magnesium citrate which is not enhanced much by the grape flavoring LOL!

Well I just wanted to report in that all went well. I took a cab down to Norwalk Hospital ( I was surprised I even manged to find a cab who would come and get me but I did- we had over 10 inches of snow). Was very nervous but the nurses and my surgeon were very reassuring and great. So happy to finally have this done, I've been wanting to get banded for years now.
Wishing all the other March bandsters the best. It feels great to finally be on the other side.
