Topic: 2 more days and excited and nervous
so with about 48 hours left until surgery and I am feeling great, the preop diet hasnt been the worst experience of my life, though the first couple of days was close :) I was beginning to feel nervous over the past couple of days, I went to my first support group meeting last night and that helped tremendously. There were a few pre-banders there including me, and one of us asked the group if anyone regretted their decision to get the lap band and it was a big all in one answer of NO!!!!! I am definetly going to as many support groups meetings as I can, I learned so much valuable information and everyone was so willing to share their hints and tips. Anyhow, good luck to all whose surgery dates are right around the corner.

Congratz on your surgery date! Hope it goes well. My surgery is scheduled for March 20th so just a couple days before you. Good luck and this will be a March to remember!

I'm sure the bruseing is just from your surgery. It should go away in a few days. As for the pain not sure, I'm still pre-op. Best thing to do though if your worried would be to call your surgeon.

Yes! at 5:30 pm this evening I received the call from the doctors office and I haven't been able to sit still since! I guess because I was too worried it wouldn't happen, I have nothing ready! I will work on it for the next 2 weekends. I just hope I don't forget anything. Good luck to you! Keep us posted !

I had my education class today it was informative. I originally had an open rny in March of 2001. It was fabulous, i nearly reached my goal weight in approximately two years and held steady for another two, then all of a sudden i started gaining. It was 30 pounds to start with then it seemed like an additional 10 per year. I had just assumed that it was one more thing that i screwed up and failed at until reading information and realizing that this sometimes happens. I guess everyones anatomy is different and reacts differently. So I met with Dr Lahmann in January, and here I am having surgery with you.
