I had surgery on the 6th so I'm about 6 days post op now.  I've had some ups and downs with the pain, but today I'm feeling pretty good.  No other issues so far.

I'm on the full liquid stage right now.  Start pureed on Friday.  I haven't had any issues with food as of yet.  I'm having mostly beef or chicken broth and protein shakes.  I also am allowed cream of wheat so I've had that a couple times.  The sf chocolate pudding is pretty good too.

Looking forward to hearing how everyone else is doing!

I had the Lap Gastric Bypass on Tuesday, and got discharged yesterday!  Everything went great!  I am a bit sore, but my Dr. has me on pain medication which helps a lot.  I am drinking liquids not.  1 ounce every 15 minutes.  It is challenging but doable!

How are you feeling? How many days post op are you and what foods are you tolerating? Let's get some updates!

Oh wow Rona...thats great!

My husband had RNY 2 years before I had mine (we were only dating then). It was nice to have someone so close that I could compare my experience to.

Somerset huh? Small world, I lived in London which is about 30 miles from there. I worked in Somerset for a while also. Funny how things inter-twine like that.

Well I hope all goes well for him!

Take care
Tracy

I am glad you are home and doing better Emily! I am jealous about the egg though! That sounds sooooo yummy right now! My doctor has me on a liquid diet for 2 weeks post op. I have a follow up appointment next Tuesday and hopefully will be moved on to soft foods! I am hungry.

Hi everyone,

I'm excited about my upcoming surgery, but am having some trouble with the liquid diet. I am hungry and have a hard time with just eating the amount I'm supposed to. Has anyone else had this problem? Does it affect the surgery if you are not perfect? Thanks!

Robyn
