Hair Loss

Well, it finally happened.  I thought that maybe I'd be one of the lucky ones, but in the shower yesterday I looked at my hands after shampooing my hair and they were full of hair.  Anyone else experiencing this yet?  Thankfully, you really can't tell yet.  I remember that hair loss was supposed to start around now but does anyone remember when it stops?

Mine has been coming out for awhile now, luckily I have always had very thick hair so it hasn't been a problem and while I can tell a difference in how thick it is now I don't think that anyone else can.  I've heard that it lasts for around 2 to 3 months.  ??

I have been losting hair for about a month but lucky it is falling out evenly.  No bald spots yet thank goodness and hopefully it does not happen.

I've been losing hair for about 2 weeks.  It isn't really noticible.  I'm taking biotin and making sure I get in 80-90 grams protein.  I use Aveeda hair products.  Stopped using hair spray.

If there is anything else I should do, please let me know.

I have been losing A LOT of hair as well.  I am so disgusted by it that I can't even bear to pick the pile of it up off of the floor - I have to have my husband do it......which is is awesome about doing.  I have been losing for about 4 weeks now - 2 weeks of which I was in the hospital for kidney issues (very long story - but I am getting better now).  I have heard the hair loss stops around month 6 - but that REALLY worries me.  If I keep losing hair at this rate, I am pretty sure I won't have any left come month 6........I am suprised after I blowdry my hair that I even still have any.....daily.

I LOVE my hair - always have -- but, I think this is just one of our trials along the way to a healthier us.  I personally think it is worth it -- and this is coming from someone *****ally L-O-V-E-S her hair.

Thanks you guys!  It's great to know I'm not the only one.  I'm sure none of us will end up bald, right?

I was just like you thinking 'maybe I am going to be one of the lucky ones'    NOT!!

I started noticing it about two weeks ago and I'm losing a lot now, nothing noticeable (like bald spots or anything) but I'll be glad when it stops falling out :-)

I began losing it at about 2 months out.  I don't know how much was the low protein (I was taking in over 80 a day, but my body wasn't processing it well) and how much of it was my hypothyroidism.  I am now on synthroid and try everyday to get in even more protein, so we shall see if things are better by the 6 month check up.  My ponytail is now being made with soft cloth holders and is such a small one that it isn't funny.

I've been losing quite a bit too, looking at the sink after I brush my hairis a nightmare! I've been taking biotin too, hopefully it will stop soon, I've never heard of anyone going completely bald from WLS.
