It's Mid July - what is your average calorie in take?

I am 4 months post RNY.  My dieticians have an 18 month progression food plan.  Currently I have 4 ounces at meals and can have fruit/veg or protein between meals.  I am to stay within the 600-800 calorie range.

Most days I am at about 700 calories, 80-90 gm protein and 120+ oz of fluid.

I find as the day goes on I am very full and sometimes nauseated.  I usually can't eat dense protein at dinner and have greek yogurt and fruit.  By the time I've taken my evening meds and supplements I am very, very full.

Sounds like you are on a very good plan with your Nut.  I am sorry to hear you do not tolerate dense protein.  I have not had any problems with it since I was at 1.5 months out.  I cannot eat much when I do have dense protein but it is so good.

I was usually aorund 800-900 a day with a high day being almost 1000 occasionally, but at my 3 month appt. with the nut. I found out my body isn't processing the protein well, so she added more protein and told me that calories are going to have to go up just to get the extra protein in.  I need to get back to tracking the calories and see where I am right now, but protein is my main goal these days.

Protein is good.

How could the Nut tell that you were not absorbing the protein you were eating?  (Just curious)
I have not had any blood work yet since my surgery.  I am curious to how I am doing with allof my vitamins, minerals, and protein.

Our program does bloodwork at the 3 month mark and that is where she could see it.  We will be doing my next set of labs for the 6 month appointments and then we have other followups on us after that up through the 5 year mark after surgery.

Well that is cool... I wonder if mine will do it at the 6 month check up...  I am hoping so.
