Can we ever eat corn again?

 My question is -

Does anyone eat anything with corn in it after VSG?  I love fresh corn and really miss that.  I have not tried it but almost tried some corn chowder the other day.  It is a real thick soup but must of the corn is pureed.  I didn't do it b/c it seems like I have hear before NO CORN.  I just wonder is that FOREVER?  Any advice would be much appreciated.

Well I have not had a VSG, but I've had corn since my RNY, I was not told any foods to never have, they cleared me for regular food at 4.5 weeks post op and told me I could have what I could tolerate (obviously to avoid certain foods that would be obvious, like candy, etc.).  I had several bites of a piece of corn on the cob last month and had no problems with it and it was quite tasty!  If you aren't sure, contact your surgeon and ask!

I had a couple bites of my husbands corn chowder at a festival last week and had no problems digesting it.  It is high in carbs and natural sugar.

I was only told there are better choices than corn, but not to never have it.  I have had it in a couple of things since surgery/  I just make sure I chew it extra well, because I know I didn't digest it that well before, so of course I wouldn't do so now either.
