If so, how's that going? My nutritionist suggested I try, but I've been too afraid!

I have been for about 1 week.  I missed it so much.  I am ok as long as I CHEW CHEW CHEW!!! a couple times I have not chewed well and I was uncomfortable for about 20 minutes.   I have been putting cheese (FF/Shredded) and hard boiled eggs with it.  One time I did crab meat (very high in protein), but it did not go down so well.  Hope that helps!! :)

I've been eating salad since week 8.  I usually have baby greens or spinach and I chew throughly.  I use a salad dressing spray to cut down on fat and calories, and I eat it with some sort of protein on top.  Enjoy!

Well, I did it!! I had a small salad with lettuce and chopped up tomatoes with a little ff cheese. I also put ff dressing on because I wanted to make sure it slid. lol
It was sooooooooo good! I did get gas badly though, but it was worth it! Thanks guys!

I've been eating salad since about 4.5 weeks post op.  It is one of my favorite things to eat post op.  I use lettuce, some 2% shredded cheese, some type of protein (usually deli meat), and light Ranch dressing.  Occasionally I've put a sprinkle of sunflower seeds on it (but have decided lately that I don't need those calories).  I've probably eaten more salads than anything else since surgery, yogurt has probably been a close second.  I haven't had any problem with salad foods except possibly tomatoes, not sure but I don't think my pouch likes those too much, pickles either (although I don't put those on salads).  Glad you finally had one and that it went ok.

I ate some guacamole salad once since surgery. I didn't have any problems. Actually I haven't had problems with any food until last night. I still find it very difficult at this point to get any veggies or fruit in because I am so focused on my protein. Maybe in another month or so that will change.

FYI- Be careful with pepperoni. I ate the inside of a lean pocket last night. It made me very sick. I got the foamies first and then threw up. Not a pleasant experience.

I noticed for me, somedays I feel full easily, then somedays, I don't. I still can't eat more than 4oz though. Well unless it's soup, then I can eat a bit more. Maybe that's why you're not feeling as full? Did you notice if it's after you eat yogurt, or soup or something?
