Weight Loss stall already?

I'm 16 days out today, I lost 20lbs since my surgery on March 2. However, I haven't lost ANYTHING in 6 days. Please understand I don't expect to lose 100lbs overnight, I'm just wondering if there's such a thing as a 2 week stall? I'm only eating 500 calories a day on average. So what's going on? Maybe I need to stop obsessing. I just want to make sure I'm not doing anything wrong.

You need to try to up your calorie intake would be my guess. 500 calories is not very much and will put your body into stravation mode and your body will fight you to hold on to ever pound it can. plus eat more protein if you can

Its normal to stall for a few days or even a week or so. I know I did! I kept looking at the scale and wondering the exact same thing you are. "What am I doing wrong" I even posted and vented and everyone was so supportive here. You are doing good! Think about realistically 20 lbs. is very very good in just a few short weeks. I'm  7 weeks since my surgery and I've only lost about 27 lbs. So don't knock yourself for not having lost more. Every body is different and loses differently. Probably just try to eat more protein, walk more and drink a lot of fluids! It'll happen.

Shannon, you are doing great. I wouldn't worry about not losing for a couple of days. Stay off the scale for a week and see what happens. Try drinking more too. I am running about 500 calories too. It will come off. don't beat yourself up about it. I don't think you are in a stall already.

I'm 4 and 1/2 months post op.  My weight loss goes in cycles.  I drop....it stops.....I drop... it stops.  I will lose steadily for days and then nothing..  After a bout a week or so it starts up again.  I've learned not to let it bother me.  If I'm doing the right things... its going to come off.  Take your measurements.. try on smaller clothes.  These are ways we can see the loss if the scale isnt showing it.
