Hi Shannon.

I am 4 days post op and home from the hospital since Wednesday.  Trying to get in a 'schedule' for eating and getting my liquids in.  I can pretty much eat 'cream of' soups and cream of wheat, protien shakes, SF popsickles, SF jello and water.

I'm feeling pretty good but still tired.  So I nap when I need to.  I'm trying to listen to my body and not pu****!

I was worried about gaining a bunch in the hospital from the IV fluids, but I was only up .7 from when I went in.  As of this morning, I am down 4.5 pounds since I went in on Monday and down almost 25 since I started the 2 week pre-op diet.

Thanks for posting, it's nice to hear other stories.

Nan

My surgery was on March 9th.  I'm home and recovering well.  I go for two walks a day...not far, but it gets me moving. Still have pain when I get out of bed, but that is lessening.  I'm tolerating most of the foods:  yogurt, creamed soups, protein shakes.  The Isopure protein drink has been a godsend....40 grams of protein in a bottle.  It helps me meet my daily 70 grams of protein.  The popsicles are also great.

I'm a March 2nd girl! It was bad the first few days  - I had anethesia issues. But now its Great! I'm down almost 20 pounds!
I was arthroscopic RNY. It all feels good. I wonder if I should feel this good!
I am able to do shakes and I have had scrambled eggbeaters. I even had some spaghettios!
This was the kickstart I needed! it feels so right!
Thanks everyone for the support!

I am so jealous! Lol. I had my surgery on the 11th and so far all is well. I have gas pains in my stomach and chest occasionally but they are relieved with gasX. But all i get to have are clear liquids and sf jello. The jello can't have red food color either. I guess it's good that i like lime. =D I can tolerate all of it but the options are limited so i am already burnt out. All in all though, it's definitely worth it!
