I'd love to be friends. thanks for the add. I am glad I am not on that strict of liquid diet. On sunday I can only have clear liquids. That is the day before surgery. I got some broth to have. So far so good. I haven't cheated.

I've been on a "modified" post-op diet for nearly 5 months now... and I've lost nearly 30 pounds.  My surgeon doesn't require a two week liquid diet... I'm not sure I could survive it.  I start my clear liquid diet at Midnight Friday night, and my surgery is at 12:30 p.m. Monday.... I'm so excited!!!

I just got the surgery date yesterday (March 16th) I am starting my pre-op diet tomorrow.  I am basically on it today but giving up the coffee in the morning worries me!  I too am so excited!  I have been wanting to do this Lap Band thing since I first heard about it in about 2003 and now all the hoops are past and the days are getting short!
Tomorrow I am going to locate a support group at the local hospital.  It is for Gasto patients but the Lap Band group only meets once a month and I am feeling a great need for support right now.  Good thoughts to all of you!  Bonnie

I am in my first week of liquids during the day and a meal at night. Next week I start all liquids and although I am wicked nervouse I have found that if I have the protein shakes, soups every two hours I am not that hungry. I have to remember to drink water through out that time. I totally know what you are going through.

I too have started my liquid diet my surgery is March 9th.....I am having a horrible time, my doctor didnt actually say liquid diet, well he did but then she said basically if I can figure out another way to do 1000 calories or less a day, then I can do that so I am trying but I work full time and have a 2 year old it doesnt leave alot of time for calorie counting....I am a little depressed I know I can do a better job of this ......not sure why I am struggling so.

My surgery date is March 23 so I do not start mine until the 9th. I am so excited that I can not stand it!! I can not have anything but the WONDERFUL (ughhh) optifast shakes and clear liquids. I am scared but know that I want this so bad that I will get through it.

I wish you the best,

Christi
