I having been working towards this for 3 years. It has been a long time coming. 
Wow. how come you were scheduled so far out? Is your doctor that booked up?

Yes he is.  He is the surgeon at my bariatric center who does only one WLS a day.  But, he is also the chief of surgery at my hospital, too.  And, my bariatric center recently lost one of their surgeons. :(

Wow. Only one a day. I have been praying that I am my surgeon's first surgery of the day. I am just about to burst with excitement. these 17days can't go by fast enough.

I'm a March 2nd also.  Almost gave up. 0It's taken almost a year after everything was approved.   The doctors are military at Fort Gordon and even though they have done many gastric bypasses, they have never done the Lap Band.  I'm one of the first, and the Dr. told me that I didn't have to go through that pre-op diet if I maintain the same weight on surgery date, but she said that even a little shrinking of the liver is better, so I will try to do that liquid diet about 5 days out.
