Topic: My Surgery (Hopefully) is March 3
Today I went for my pre-admission testing at the hospital. The Nurse-Practitioner looked at the scar on my stomach (from a previous gall bladder surgery in 1989) and asked me if the surgeon said anything about the scar during my first visit with him in October. I told her he looked at it, but in my opinion he didn't seem to think it was a problem. She went on, very delicately, to say there is a chance he won't operate because of a possibility of too much old scar tissue. She then said that it's rare, but it does happen.
Has anyone else heard of this? My excitement has turned to panic.... and now I am fearful that my surgery won't happen! I know I shouldn't worry because that's not making anything better, but ... this person never worries too much about anything (I'm very laid back normally) but I'm genuinely upset that this may not happen.
Topic: RE: March 5th anyone?
Mine is the 4th of March. I am scared, happy , nervous and thrilled to bits. I just recieved some bad news yesterday that my aunt is very ill (has cancer) and has been given 6 months to live. I'm wrestling with the surgery and if this is a good time to have it.

I went to PA this last weekend and my daughter had full fledge influenza, now I wonder if I have it now. I am on the liquid pre-surgery diet. And truely not sure what I should do.
