I'm having mine on March 18, 2008 also. on my liquid diet my surgeon requires all to be on 4 weeks of Opti-fast and one meal aday. Then 1 day before surgery all clear liquids

I have 1 week till my March 3rd date.
It has been a very exciting journey so far , I am looking forward to starting the real ride.

Hi Guys! I m same as you....buy tying up the loose ends and getting everything ready to go.I have bought all the "supplies" for after, although form what I gather tastes can change...so we'll see about that hehehe So, I am nervous/excited all of the above almost to the point of numb kinda? I can't wait to get this show in the road and get on with the recovery....well, if I don't hear from you guys, here's to an uneventful surgery and recovery for ya! Take care and hope to "talk" to ya soon!

Sis... I have to tell you... I am SO EXCITED... I can't wait to get on the winning side... my girlfriend has surgery Jan. 10th and she has already lost 47 pounds... I am ready for that... I know that it's going to be tough but I am ready for the task...

Hello!!! I think it's up to your doctor whether or not you should be on a liquid diet. A friend of mine who had the surgery didn't have to do a liquid diet, but my other friend did...so just do whatever your doc tells you to do! How are you feeling - nervous, excited, anxious...???

Hello, the pre-op diet isn't too bad, but yes only 6 days and a wake up to go. Me I am excited, and nervous, been cleaning house lol, packing the hospital bag, and making sure I have everything I need. This week is my last meeting with my surgeon before the surgery, and then I will shop for what I need to be eating post op. We are not on liquids post op, but pureeds. Slightly scared, but then who isn't I think. Wow the days are flying by. Good Luck to all. Here is to complication free surgeries, and speedy recoveries for us all.

ok so we should all be in our liquid fast phase.... or whatever your doc is saying.... personally.. i think its cruel and inhumane... lmao..... but only 6 days a wake up for us.... how are you all doing???????? nervous?? scared? excited??

Hi I am also March 5th. was given 2 weeks to prepare. I do not have to go on any special diet , so I am very happy about that much. but I did have to stop all of my pain meds now and thats the hard part for me. I guess we will be reborn together.
