I do not think I have to do mine as long. I go on The 6th to the hospital to find out all that and get all my work ups. The Dr has said nothing to me about starting a liquid diet for 2 weeks. I think every Dr is different on what they perscribe. I have had to follow a bariatric diet for 6 months and loose 5 - 10 % of my body wieght with a bariatric nutritionist. I am sure I will do liquids a few days before though. I am so excited. I know you are too....

Amy - Good for you, I'm so jealous, mine still seems so far away? When do you get to start your presurgery liquid diet? I start mine on the 11th. Best wishes

Shelley, That stinks, but the good thing is you are a Marcher, and one day after me. Good luck to you and wishing you a complication free surgery, and a speedy recovery!!

Me too. March 10th. This is a great site for all questions. I have been using for a couple of months, but haven't posted much. For question in general go to main message board. Good luck to you and all the March people. Dotti

I'm 3/10 as well. Got great feedback on the subject of hospital clothing just yesterday after I posted the same question. Mostly everyone said sweats, soft cotton pants (loose), and t-shirts. Most said there shouldn't be irritation at the waist, but above is going to be the problem. Most recommended no bra since there are high incisions. I was also worried about drainage onto clothing but most said there wasn't any due to dressings. I am not taking any good clothing with me. My Doc recommends loose PJs but I can't stand them so I guess I'll take a light robe and use their gowns. I,m also getting cheap cotton panties. Only 1 nt. Take non-skid slippers. also you may be dry so I'm taking lotion and a good lip moisturizer. Since we are the same day I would like to keep in touch with you. If you want, maybe we can exchange e-mails if it is OK on this site. I,m not sure since I'm new here. Anyway, best of luck and I know I'll meet up with you here again. Dotti
