i started this journey in may 2007 and now i'm finally scheduled for surgery on march 12 if everything goes well. i still have the most stubborn 5 lbs to lose. other than that everything has been done. please read my profile to learn about my journey

You can soooo do this! Though your friend had to tend to her family, I am sure she will help you when it's your turn. And even if that is not the case... WE ARE HERE! Dont feel alone, I have no family here just my husband and OH and I am as excited as can be. Do some preping ahead of time as far as your shopping after surgery and count on us to be here!!! You will do great!

Hi Dori! Congrats on your date! I know exactly how you are feeling right now! I finally got my insurance approval Thursday afternoon after fighting for it for over a year! The insurance rep was so happy for me she called to let me know, she said she didnt want me to have to wait for a letter in the mail! I was in tears! Now, I must wait for that very same letter before my surgeons office can schedule me...I hope to be getting it this coming week (March 3-7), and Friday I was told I would be in surgery 2-4 weeks after getting that approval letter! So, no date yet, but an approval that I was beginning to wonder if it would ever come! Take care and best of wishes for you thru surgery and into your new life!
