Congrats on your 85 lbs.  I started out at 309 and as of this morning I'm down about 79 lbs.  I also feel like I can easily eat in the 1000 calorie range and probably more if I'd let myself.    That worries me a LOT!  I have been on a month long stall and lost a few pounds this past week and sure hope I don't have to wait another month to lose.  At least by reading your post, I don't feel alone.  I thought it was just me.  I didn't think it was normal to be able to eat this much.  I would like to someday get down under the 200.  So, you are NOT alone and we can do it.  Just stay strong.

Protect yourself from the junk food!
Pack a cooler.  If you can find one that plug into your car, all the better! (I have a mini refrigerator that I take with me.)
Take food that you know you can eat and/or buy more as you travel.
Good Luck with the move

Hey We got the same surgery date! at almost 6 month post op, i can say i havent made my goal of being in a 12. BUT i am in a loose 14, so maybe i still have time, right? i still got a week lol. anywho i am a slow looser i have lost 64lbs, and just got out of a HUGE stall, that sucked. great job with your 121lb loss.
i am a little nervous we will be moving in a week, so we will be on the road from texas to cali, and junk food is more than likely the way of living on those days.

Hello everyone,
My name is Kim, I am a 39 year old sahm. I have 4 kids ranging in ages of 15-3 years and I have been happily married for 17 years.
I began this weight loss journey last August. I was denied by insurance in December but filed an appeal and thankfully was approved in Feb. 08 and had my rny surgery March 17th. Having surgery was one of the hardest but best decisions of my life. I have ups and downs with eating and ask myself often if I did the right thing. Then I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror and could not be prouder of what I accomplished, it's then that I know it was worth it. I started this journey at 232 pounds and have lost a total of 80 so far. I have 10 more pounds to go before I reach the goal my doc. has set for me. I have gone from a size 24 pant to a size 10, and a 3x shirt to a large. Shopping is wonderful now, it's like a whole new world has opened up for me.
It's been a long & hard road but I think it's worth it. I hope everyone has much success on their weight loss journeys and enjoy life to the fullest.
Kim

Hey!

Everything is everything on my end.  Sort of a stressful day today - still wondering if I'm doing something wrong as far as the RNY thing goes.  I really can't complain.  At my check up on August 1 I weighed in at 276 pounds (down from surgery weight of 346 - didn't lose any weight pre-op) and as of last week I weighed in at 261 (total of 85 pounds lost).  But I feel like I'm eating way too much.  I can easily eat anywhere from 900-1100 calories daily since I've returned to work from Summer vacation and I'm curretly at a stall.  Is this normal?  I know I'm probably being silly and whiny, but in desparate need of some encouragement!

I have been pretty happy with her and her staff. It takes longer with a band to start losing, I just have weight loss envy of everyone who is losing faster than me! As long as I get to my goal eventually I will feel ok in the long run.
I am starting to look at my clothes and realize that some of them are just too big to keep wearing, especially my pants that keep sliding down! I am thinking of opening a box of clothes I put away because they were too small. That to me signals real progress. Keep on!

I spent a year and a half living in texas. I loved it. But when I met hubby, in Georgia, and we were looking to relocate, he had no desire to move to Texas. I got Arizona though, so that's a triumph.

Knee and back injuries are so awful! I think they are much worse, however, for those who carry a lot of weight. Eventually, as your knee finally gets the treatment it needs, you'll heal quicker and easier without the extra weight.

My hair loss has now tapered off. It really ended up being no big deal, but I had thick hair to begin with!

It's a pleasure to get to know you!
