Topic: WLS during divorce
Has anyone ever had WLS while in the middle of a divorce? I'm schedule for surgery on 3/24 and am a little concerned when I read posts about depression, etc. I'm actually at the end of the divorce process, custody, etc. and am feeling good about my future. I would love to have the opinion of anyone who had WLS near a divorce.

Well, my surgery is coming up this Thursday, the 13th. I'm having the proceedure at Scottsdale Health Care- Shea and will be inpatient. If anyone has any advice on last minute reparations I can make I would really appreciate your help!
The anxiety is really creeping up on me so any help you have would be so appreciated!

Hey Amy...I had my surgery yesterday 3/10/08. It was a piece of cake and actually lasted an hour. So far I feel good, just be ready for the soreness....But it's managable. Good luckkkkk!!!!

Hello all...I had my band put in yesterday. Other than soreness, I'm feeling okay...I'm taking my protein, and sipping broth, so I'm cool. Any advice would be helpful....I'm sooo sore!!!!

Look at the positive - I paid almost $10,000 out of pocket - my insurance would not even consider the surgery. I used Capital One. I found that applying online was very easy. My only surprise was that the surgeon's office charged me an additional $350 for a "processing fee". My thought on this was - I am very comfortable with this surgeon and his office staff - heck - I'd spend that much on lunches :) I went for it and never looked back! Good Luck!

I had lap band on February 15. Does anyone have any good suggestions on restaurants and what to eat there? I know mexican food - refriend beans - a girl can't live on beans alone.

I would love to be your Angel.I had my lap band on 09/25/2007 and I have lost 90 lbs.It is a long road but it pays off in the long run.

I was banded on March 4th. So far it has been a good experience but my band has not been adjusted.
