How exciting! I have no butterflies yet just pure excitement! I am on March 20th and it could not get here soon enough! I too am the first surgery of the day at 7am she said to be there at 5am... I figured I wont be getting much sleep the night before anyway...so minus well be there since I will be sooooooooo awake! Good luck, I know everything will turn out great for all of us Marchers!

does anyone know of a doctor that takes medical. My mom has been looking for the last year for a doctor but none of them seem to take medical uc davis denied her due to too many patients of there own anyone out there please if you know of any doctor in california let me know

thanx so much.I have surgery on march 25th at 11am im very excited and just ready to get this over with.and yes i will update you on how im feeling afterwards/BY THE WAY CONGRATULATIONS ON LOSING 45PDS AND MORE TO GO.

It is normal.. Try not to get so frustrated , and depressed about it ,,, stress does slow down lb loss.. And just go back to clear fluids for a few days.. See what happens, re-adjust urself again.

My doc called me on Tuesday and said I had to be there at noon for surgery at 4,,, then she called back and said no be there at 6am for surgery at 9am(which would have ment me leaving home at 3am!!) and then she called me back today to tell me to be there on the 17th at 10am and surgery at 1..Lol I said finall answer?? She laughed and said I hope so ..... !!!

Hey I GO IN AT 10AM ON THE 17TH ALSO AND MY SURGERY IS ALSO AT 1.... HOW COOL IS THAT... WE WILL HAVE TO KEEP IN TOUCH ... SAME DAY AND TIME!!!!!

Ditto. Keep walking and keep sipping. The pain will pass. Make sure you are consuming enough liquids. Initially, I had growling then I realized that it was because I was trying to consume very little liquids and I needed to drink more. I am one week on the liquids today and do not have any more of the growling.

I didnt have to do the two week thing, only the day before. Judging from my attitude doing it the day before, I am sure my family is glad they didn't have to go through two weeks of me. But I will say that my doctor did require some individuals to do anywhere from two weeks to five days to one day (as in my case).
The reason depends on your size, and the fact that they may need your liver to shrink. I would say follow the doctors orders as hard as it may be, because when I was in the hospital (1 overnight stay) there was a guy who was told to do the two weeks and didnt. He was in a lot of pain afterwards. I felt sorry for him trying to walk around and being in so much pain. It may or may not have been related to following orders, but I would rather be safe than sorry.
