Removing a drainage tube should not be painful. You just feel the sensation of it moving. Hope all goes well. best wishes-Dotti.

I had my surgery on 3/7 and am still on liquids. Could it be that you are not ready for pureed. My doctor has liquids for two weeks (2nd week thicker) before moving to pureedand creamy foods. I would love to deviate, but so far its working.

Congrats on getting through step number 1! Thank you for your words of encouragement - I will absolutely remember to get up an walk. I have charged my husband with the task of MAKING me get out of bed whether I want to or not .

Well, I made it through the surgery! My Lap-Band (or rather Johnson & Johnson Realize Band) has been placed and I'm home recovering. I'm doing great for the most part, just a lot of soreness. Thank you for all your well wishes!! Jenn

You will do fantastic!!! Seriously, I just got home from the hospital, I had my lap band placed yesterday! My largest piece of advice- get up and get moving as soon as you can. Seriously, it's really hard to get yourself out of bed/the chair but once your up and moving it feels a million times better. I would encourage you to get up and moving as soon as you can, even just to walk to the restroom. PLUS this will help with the water weight you gain from the surgery! Best of luck to you and the rest of us "Marchers" we'll be sporting our bikkini's in NO time!!! Jenn
