Topic: RE: Cool New Forum Everyone Update!
Wow, I have been MIA for a while it seems.  I love the new forum too.  This is so much nicer than the other one we had.

I'm doing okay....  When I first started seeking wls I was 325 and I got down to 306 the day of surgery.  I currently weigh 218.5.  My 6 month anniversary is coming up tomorrow.  I just can't believe it.  On Thurs. I have my 6 mos. appt. and I'll get blood work done, thank God!

At the beginning of Aug. I mentioned my hair falling out.  It is still falling out.  I had really thick beautiful hair to start out with and now it's thinner and dull and my hair keeps falling out.  It's def. lost the appeal it had before.

I'm still dealing with my knee issue and I've been on antibiotics 3 times for bladder infections that don't seem able to get away.  I started at a new school district this year, so I'm currently w/o insurance.  Not sure when the new insurance will kick in.  I can't do much about finding out because the school district I teach at is closed for the week due to Hurricane Ike.

I feel like I'm complaining too much.  I'm so happy about the weight loss.  The side effects have not been good.  It's like I look thin, but I don't feel as great as I'm supposed to.  I was a size 1x in Aug., but I think I might be fitting into some XL's now.  My goal was to be in regular size clothes by my birthday (12/16).  I think I might make that goal.  I also wanted to be in onederland by then and at only 18 lbs. to go, I think I might make it.  I hope so anyways.

Whey Gourmet will bring tears to your eyes it is so good.  There are so many flavors to choose from and then the sky is the limit with sugar free flavored syrups in so many flavors it is mind boggling.  Goggle it and try them for yourself,.  I recently purchased cookies and cream and also mint chocolate chip and they are superb.  I have mixed the two together also and omg great!!!!!!!!

Topic: Heading into my 6th month
Hi everyone

So yesterday I went for my 6 month appointment...  I began my 6th month on September 4th.

He was happily happy with my progress, 90 pounds and 58 1/2 inches to date.  I don't feel 90 pounds lighter and definately feel like when I look at myself I am not 58 1/2 inches smaller, but people can see it so i guess it mightr be true.

Anyone else having trouble "seeing" the changes within themself?

I'm sure you will be fine.  Just pack what you need and most of what you think you will need!  Good luck on the move.  We're getting ready to move so to say on my end.  We're running from another Hurricane ****) - just returned home last week from the Gustav Hurrication (LOL).  So I've got to stock up on protein shakes, protein bars, yadda yadda... you're not alone!

Thank you so much Christi.  And congrats on your success!!  I guess when we both stop and think about this whole process, 1000 calories is way less that what we used to eat per day.  Personally, I know I was in the 5000 to 7000 calorie range - on a good day!   So we'll get through this.   HANG TOUGH GIRL - I went to my pcp this afternoon and discovered that the STALL from H**L is over - another 5 pounds lost!!   Hang in there Christi!
