congrats on your surgery. mine was on the 12TH as well. as you said their is very little pain. and i have the gurling and rumbling also. the water and protein is hard for me to get in also. i just want to GULP instead of sip. i guess that is what makes it so hard. if you hear of any suggestions please forward them on.

i had my surgery on 3-12-08 going fairly well, very little pain, stomach still swollen. Having a hard time getting in a the water, but will take a few suggestions of carrying water around with me all day.
I have alot of gurling in my stomach I assume that is from the gas, and healing of the new stomach. No pain just gurling . Unable to sleep very good in the bed, so I find myself sleeping in a chair.
So very excited about my new life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad you finally are at the beginning of your journey. Best of luck. Make sure you go on the right day since Monday is the 17th. Don't want to miss this one huh? Very happy for you. I am 6 days post op now and soooo glad it's finally over. God Bless and speedy recovery. Dotti

Yeah me too March 17th in Jville Fl. I will stay one night in the hospital. Hopfully I will be back Home on wed. afternoon 3 hr drive for me too. See yall loosers later, jan

Good Luck mine is this Tuesday. It is both exciting and a little scarey. i have been on this protein diet for 3 weeks. It has been hard but I have done it.

I live in Scotland Ga. and I have been trying to have this surgery (lap Band) done for about a year now. I started by going to W. C. South Carolina. And after several, 4 hour trips and a few sleepovers. I was turned down without an explanation.
But at the beginning of this year, I started going to a center in JVille Fl. I am using Dr. Webb with N. FL. Surgeons. I am scheduled for Tuesday. I started out at 393 and Now with my protein diet I am 379. I had to go through the whole thing again. But it has been worth it. I had everything done at the center. Then, I had to see a cardiologist. And that was scarey.
I do not know if I am more nervous or excited. I just want to get it over with. I am ready to get on with my life.
