Hi, I had RNY on 3/10 and was mourning food,feeling deprived,and sad when I came home the first few days...once you start to eat pureed/soft food's you will feel relieved. The worst part for me was jus****ching all the damn food commerical's come on TV knowing I couldn't have any of it really pissed me off. I started to turn my head away when I saw them come on...lol My doc said I should be back to eating some moist real food my mid-april and by then I'm sure I will have lost alot of weight and wont even be missing it that much. Good luck to you! It's a struggle I think everyone goe's thru with WLS.

Hi and congrats on your decision to take this very important step. The liquid diet does suck very much but it is so worth it. I am almost 1 year out and I have lost 111lbs and would do it in a heart beat. Just keep the end in mind and stay focused and it will happen for each of you. Take care and welcome to the loser bench. Topic: BCBS Question

I know I have read somewhere that BCBS PPO changed its guidelines saying that you only need 6 months supervised diet instead of 12 to be eligible for WLS. Is this familiar to anyone? Do you know where I can get the info? Thanks!

I have been having headaches too...I have today and tomorrow is only clear liquids but down almost 15 lbs...and down lots of insulin too. Good luck tomorrow. Hugs, Dori

I feel your pain!!!!!! If my husband hasn't left me by now with my foul mood and headaches then I have nothing to worry about down the road!

But we have to keep our goal in mind.. I made me a vision board that I look at when ever I feel like taking a bite out of something. It helps

I understand what you mean I'm having surgery today in about 6 hours and i've been mourning food all day yesterday and last night. but this morning I'm ready. I dreamed about a buffett..lol so I guess I ate my fill ...good luck
