Topic: Back Home from Surgery 3/17
Hello All, I am back home from surgery on 3/17. Everything went fine. I am just tired and full of gas. I have been walking and it is moving, just not fast enough. I hope this gas passes soon. Other than that I really just feel the same. I am not hungry and not thirsty. Honestly, I have to remember to eat and drink. Right now I am on the stage 1 liquid diet, and I am just fine with that. I just need to get my energy back!

Actually it went pretty well...today is hard clear liquids, stress and a laxative..not a very good combination.
But tomorrow is the new day of my new life.
Hugs,
Dori

Dori,
Thanks! How is the liquid diet going? I am so hungry and I have to take a final in two hours. Yuck! I hope my stomach doesn't growl to loud! Good luck and see you on the losing side!! Bye-Bye fat!

Topic: MY DAY is TOMORROW...
WOW...I cannot believe it.
I am actually very calm...had a very stressful day. My good friend backed out after promising to watch my DD cause DH has to work ( we have no family here). My neighbor is going to take her
I just want tomorrow to get here already....waiting is the hardest part.
I am down 15 lbs on the liquid diet...and today is clear liquids. It is all so worth it.
Good luck to all those having surgery tomorrow.
Hugs,
Dori

I am on the 20th as well and like Maureen.... FRICKING OUT! I have been cool as a cucumber right up until last night and well liquid diet, cramps, and headaches from starvation equals POOR FAMILY! But just have to keep reminding ourselves how amazing we are going to look and feel a few months from now. Keep your eyes on the prize girls!!!! Good luck and I'll see you on the loosers side!
Take good care and get lots of rest!

I'm having surgery on the 20th (tomorrow) also! I've gone from excited to panic mode. I will be so happy when this is over - I'm driving everyone around me insane. I hope you have a safe surger and quick recovery! Good luck.... Maureen
Topic: RE: March 4th Surgery Date
Hello Shelley,
My Lap-Band surgery was March 4th and I am doing good although I can't tell if I am losing much. I go to the doctor Thursday for my first checkup. How about you? How are you feeling? Which surgery did you have?
I still get hungry since I am still eating mostly liquids like soups, yogurt, pudding and SF popsicles. I am trying to get in more exercise. I am walking about a mile a day and ride my bicycle for two mile every other day. I still can't do any old fashioned exercise because my abdomen is sore.
I think I was looking for more weight loss and I have to remember that the pounds came on because of years of over-eating and it may take a while to get off. However, once off, my goal is to keep it off.
Look forward to hearing from others who had surgery about the same time. Let's cheer each other on to a new and healthier life!
Topic: RE: Mourning Food, Surgery Tommorrow
I felt the same way the day before surgery. I am two weeks out now and havent been hungry yet. I am not saying that it is going to be easy but it is not as bad as you think it will be. The worst part for me was tasteless food, I finally got to have my first soft food meal yesterday and chose a high taste food. It was nice, but the thrill of food is gone for me. I am exicted about life again and I know you will feel the same. Its only the fear of what you are loosing and believe me you will realize soon its not all we thought it was.
Good Luck tomorrow and no fear!
Kellie
