Oh my gosh, Bridget! That is amazing! I'm one week out today. I had a corrective surgery with hernia repair. It was a pretty major thing, but i am WAY behind you. i still can't get rid of my gas. i do mainly drink during the day, that's about it. i'm with you on the jello. gag me.
I knew this surgery would be more difficult than my first one, but it's really taking it's tole on me. im so very proud for you and i know i'll be in that good spot soon enough. keep up the wonderful work!!

Finally, I've moved on to phase 2 and even though its not liquid anymore that mushy food is a delight.....
It was just a bit difficult my first week post-op but I have lost 15 pounds and I've been doing good.....not much pain...and everything has been going down
Not much of an issue with liquid and food.......can wan't to start introducing solids....honestly, the only thing I find difficult is remembering to take my vitamins now.
Hope everyone whose had surgery is experiencing the wls surgery as good as me and for those awaiting wls surgery all the luck in the world and can't wait for you to be shedding pounds like me......
xoxo.....thanks for all the support and help in the last week.......xoxo
Topic: RE: 3rd day POST op BREAKDOWN!
i know we had different surgeries, but i just wanted to let you know that I didn't have a bowel movement until 4 days after surgery and even then I think the apple juice I drank helped kick start my bowels.

Hi Kim,
It really depends on the type of surgery you have. Will this be Lap or open? Lap recovery from what I have read is a lot faster than open. But remember you will have an entire new way of eating and that does take some time getting used to. I plan on taking at the very least 2 weeks for lap surgery and 4 for open. Talk to your Dr he/she is the one that will decided when your ready to return to work. I wish you well and will keep you in my prayers.
