I use Vitron-C 250 mg of iron.....and it is the ferrous ferrate(sp), the type of iron that we can take that our body will absorb, because we will not absorb the ferrour sulfate(sp). Ask your DR about that ?

I had the same thing with bcbs of de. Make sure that you get them to clarify , do you need 1) 6 -1 month individual visits with the doctor/nutritionist, or 2) 6 months total time with the doctor/nutritionist. And basically time with them or being under thier supervision is that you are on a supervised diet and exercise plan to basically prove that you can not lose all of the weight on your own. But it has to be documented for a total of six months. .......Hope this helps! ~ Im Gifted

Topic: RE: Drinking wine?
Hi! I remember drinking at about 6 months out, and, I could feel it immediately. And that's only about 2 ounces. I felt "high" within a minute and it would last about 10 minutes, then back to normal. I'm 6 years out and can have small amounts of light beer, really small amounts of wine, and only sugar free mixer in a hard drink. Hope this helps.

Topic: RE: Gas
The thing that worked for me was to get up and walk as much as I could. I never tried the gas-x.. Walking seemed to be my best medicine. I was banded on March 19, 2008. Good luck. It will get better

Topic: Iron Deficiency Anemia
Hi everyone! I am 6 years out from roux-en-y surgery and am now anemic. The internist I was referred to wanted to put me on iron med's, but when she found out I had the surgery, she said the med's wouldn't work for absorption and that I would need IV iron therapy. I will have it done tomorrow. Has anyone experienced this type of therapy?
