How's it gone with your wife having had the surgery already? I hear there are lots of changes in the household. Have you run into anything we should know about?

I don't know about the rest of y'all but the waiting is not very easy for me. I'm keeping myself busy with things like, oh, moving and the like, but ..... even though mine is two months from today, that seems like an eon!
So, tell me, how are you spending your time prior to March and surgery? Anyone taking a last minute trip to Hawaii or something like that?

Hello Jason,
I have my insurance approval but due to constraints at work will not have my surgery until March. I got my approval December 13th. 
and it seems like forever that I have been waiting already.

Wow! Finally someone in March with me! Good to hear from you. Yes, it does seem very far, I'm really ready to get going. I could have done it earlier but I've got some committments at work that I can't get rid of...UGH! 
My first visit at the surgeon's office was in October, so WLS has been on the brain for quite a while.
My wife had WLS on November 29th of this year (last year depending on when you read this??) so I am fortunate to have an in-house "expert"! I've haven't done a whole lot since I'm still a little over two months out, however I have been trying to do a little "mental" preparing. I've also been trying to chew food more and eat slower.

Hi, I am Jo in Arkansas and new to this site. Who is your surgeon going to be? I am scheduled "tenatively" for March 13 in Joplin.

Hershey has a program designed strictly for WLS patients. They handle everything from nutritionist to psych and even sleep study. So everything will be through them. I'm sorta excited to just get started.

Oh ok... Are you doing your diet throught your PCP or a nutritionist?
