Huh... my nutritionist suggested that vitamins were a good thing to get started right away to help build for success. And, darn it, I've gotten to where that Flintstone vitamin is a nice sweet treat. I should be shot.
Of course, my other thought here is "since when do receptionists give out medical advice?" Perhaps you can get hooked into the nutritionist to get a solid answer. That would be my vote.
As for how fast can a month pass? I'm dying on the vine here .... anxious and scared to death at the same time!

How fast a month can pass my surgery is coming up, March 17th and of course I'm a nervous wreck, but I'm good....so here is my question, I have been taking multivitamins for awhile now.....I called my doctor the other day to ask if should I be taking any other vitamins since I heard B-12 and Biotin is a good idea to take prior to surgery.....and the receptionist told me I shouldn't be taking anything until after....I know I should take this into consideration.....but.....aren't vitamins good for you especially multivitamins.....what should I do.....also....when should I start taking the Pre-admission testing how many weeks before?

Sorry your date got changed, we share the same surgery date. I know I got approval on Jan. 17th but March 3rd was the first date they had available. The days are going by fast. Good Luck to you.

Congrats on your approval and your date. We share the same date!!!!!!!!!!!! Not sure on the healing part, I would ask your surgeon.

I had a date for 11 Feb but it had to be changed to 3 March. I was so upset when they changed the date but I guess it is for the best. I have the new date and a little more time to get ready not that I was not already you know years in the making for most of us.

I have my date set and I am doing all my prep work.
One question I do have is how long does it take to heal so that you can pick up your children? I have an 11 month old and I know it will be a challange not to hold him.

Hi Heidi,
I was referred in Jun, got into the surgeon in Sept, they sent off the letter to insurance in Nov, had my date in early Dec. Everyone's schedule and everyone's surgeon operate (haha) differently, so go with the flow and do what you can to prepare now.
