I can understand that... this is my third try.... due to health and a personal issue.. had to postpone.... and now it is finally here... but i completely understand your disappointment. i have to fast for 2 weeks... sucks... but if that is what it takes to get to a better life... it will all be good!!! only 3 weeks 2 days and a wake uo for us!!!!! YEAH!!!

I know it would be nice to have your mom's support, but until she is there 100%, remember that you have all of us.
Others have commented on family members and friends who were not dealing with the WLS decision well and told the family and friends to check out this site to see what it is about.
The forums can answer questions that you may not be able to answer.

I have to fast for 5 days it seems like forever! I am really excited, and sad it would have been on Monday. How long do you have to fast for?

I cant believe it i march 4th is my date im nervous excited all at the same time. not getting much support from my mom but i think shell come around. Ive been writing lists of what i need to get done before the big day

Nice to be on an email string with others who are having our surgeries in March! My date was to be 3/17 but the assistant who works with my surgeon happens to be on vacation then so they called me back and changed it to 3/24/08. So even though I am on the 24th I am "with you guys" because I almost was to have my surgery on the 17th!!!
May the luck of the Irish be with all of us during this month!
