Hello DAwn, I'm 6 days after you, but thought I'd answer anyway! Since I lost 57 lbs pre-op I expected my post-op losses to be slower than average. I've lost 49 of the 139 lbs I had to lose on teh day of my operation. Tomorrow I expect to break 50 lbs lost. (I'm having a pee-marathon today). This will put me at 89 lbs left to lose once I hit that 50 lb loss (or 107 lbs from maximum). My goal is to lose 70 pounds, or 50% of my excess weight on the day of surgery, by my 6-month mark. This means I have about 2 months to lose 21 lbs. My typical day includes 2 protein shakes (180 calories), 2 turkey salads (440 calories), and 2 propels (60 calories) as well as 1/4 cup of nuts (130 calories). This is approximately 810 calories, with some fluctuation. Once I start back to school I expect to have a protein bar in place of one of my salads, which will decrease my total calorie intake. My school schedule goes something like: Wake up and take 2 fiber tabs, 1 multivitamin, Calcium, and occasionally 1/2 protein bar. A.M: 24 ounce beverage in addition to 24 ounce protein shake w/calcium Lunch Time: 1/2 protein bar or 150-ish lunch P.M: 24 ounce beverage in addition to 24 ounce protein shake w/calcium Dinner: Small meal approximately 300 or fewer calories, multivitamin, biotin, B-12 After dinner: 24 ounce beverage & B-complex Snack: 1/4 cup of nuts, vitamin C, and iron. The only complications I've had include: 2-weeks of severe itchies as I was allergic to teh surgical tape, and had hives from head to toe. 1 vomiting episode relating to processed "pressed chicken breast", another close call with the same type of food item. (now struck from my list of acceptable foods). Lactose Intolerance and dumping with milk. (I've given up milk & lactaid, which still makes me dump) dumping in general ... had a cookie today... bad move.

Hi Dawn, a typical day for me: wake up (6:30 am)- 1/4 egg beater with a little cheese and sometimes half a piece of whole grain toast 9am- 1 oz string cheese with no sugar added apple sauce and 1 piece waza toast (if I did not have toast for breakfast) 12 noon-turkey wrap with low carb tortilla and tomatoes, or weigh****chers or lean cuisine meal, edame (soy pods) 3pm-fresh fruit cup, cottage cheese or nuts 6pm- balanced dinner with lean beef, chicken or fish, a veggie and small amount of whole grain pasta or brown rice, or small potatoe. If I need more protein or If I am hungry I will have some fage yoguart with stawberries I only use a protein supplements if I am running short on my protein for the day (doctors orders), I usually get in around 65-75 grams. I had my revision on 3/6/08, I have lost 37 pounds, 10 pounds away from my personal goal I set 3 years ago!

I forgot to add my water, I take sips pretty much all day and don't drink before or after my meals. I like to make decaff tea with splenda as well. I take Centrum liquid vitimins every morning with a B-12 sublingual, at night I take my calicum caltriate.

thanks for responding I am glad your almost to your goal and what kind or where do you get fage yoguart I can't find it also what kind of waza bread is that because I eat WASA fiber crackers they are about the size of a graham cracker and I get those at walmart where do you get yours why did you have to have a revision did you have complications and did you have the lap rny

I get the plain fage yoguart and add splenda, I get it at HEB in Houston. If I can't find it at other stores I get the "greek" yoguart, these have 14 grams of protein per serving, Walmart sometimes has it. I guess I meant crackers and not bread for the Wasa, I get them at my local grocery store. I had complications from a VBG I had 9/05. I have lost a total of 180 pounds to date, my revision was lap RNY.
