HAPPY 1 MONTH POST OP
HEY ALL U MARCH 17TH GALS..... WE ARE 1 MONTH POST OP .... SO EXCITING..WHERE IS EVERYONE AT???
IM DOWN 37LBS BEEN STUCK THERE FOR DAYS...... THE SCALE JUST IS NOT MOVING ANYMORE... YUCK....AND I CANT WORKOUT FOR ANOTHER 2 WEEKS OR SO .... AND IM ON PUREED FOODS .... I HAVENT STARTED THEM YET. CUZ MY 4 WEEKS GROUP APT. IS ON MONDAY .. SO I DIDNT WANA HAVE THINGS THAT IM NOT SURE OF....... SO IM REALLY DOING LIKE FULL LIQUIDS STILL AND PUREED STUFF.....
IM NOT HUNGRY---BUT I HAVE GOT IN THE BAD BAD HABIT OF CHEW AND SPIT.. .HAS ANYONE ELSE... I FEEL BAD THAT I DO IT.. BUT OMG.. THE STEAK AND PORK CHOPS WAS SOO GOOD... I LOVED THE FLAVOR IN MY MOUTH..AND I WAS VERY FOCUSED ON NOT SWALLOWING...
BUT OTHER THEN THAT IM DOING GOOD..... NO DUMPING... NO SICK... IM DIZZY STILL.. IM NOT GETTIN NEAR ENOUGH PROTIEN IN ....

Hi! My surgery date was 3/11/08 & I'm due for my 6 week follow up. I'll be graduating to regular food!! Yipppee! Haven't tried chewing and spitting, but.....I've had a few days of soft food so the urgency is not there. My first taste of scrambled egg tasted like heaven, so I know where you are at. I was soooo sick of liquids & pureed food. Just have to work on chewing, chewing, chewing. Must slow the eating process way down. Seems that everything I'm eating is cold before I can eat half of it. Oh well. Congrats on your 1 month. Charmaine

hey there, I've done the chew and spit myself, thought I was the only one whose had the surgery that did that!!
I've been able to eat fish, chicken, potatoes, and eggs!! Only tiny amounts though.
I keep forgetting to eat. I've lost about 30lbs now! I havent had any dumping at all! Hard to get the protein in.
Are your clothes falling off like mine are?
I went back to work after only a week but I feel good!! Since I cant seem to remember to eat. I make sure I take my vitamins, calcium, b-12shot, tums and baby aspirin.

I'm one month today (lap band) I was still in the puree stage too, until today I had a half of chicken cutlet diced up in tiny pieces---I put it on my mashed potatoe and melted some shredded cheese. I chewed and chewed untill I was tired. I was afraid to eat the cheese did not want it to get stuck......but the chicken tasted good. I try to get in one protein shake in the morning usually for a snack before lunch............I have been spitting tooo, my kids think its gross, but I too am afraid of what I put in my mouth. I lost about 25-28 lbs so far....jeans feel loose......shirts feel bigger. I was very dizzy too but that seems to have went away now. Wonder what that is from???????? are you a lap bander or a gastric patient ??? There are so many similarities. I need more protein too. any suggestions ???
