How long before feeling like going back to work?

I am one of the lucky ones that work is flexible and I get paid sick leave. However, I am a bit of a workaholic and have quite a bit of work to do so I agreed to work that second week from home. What have people been taking for recoop time from work? For those of you who have had surgery... do you think a week of recoop and a week working from home is pushing it? I have no clue what to expect yet have to plan these things out ahead of time. Any advice would be greatly appreciated Thanks my little WLS family! I hope everyone is feeling great!!! Praying for all of you!

I am one week out and doing pretty well. People keep expressing their shock at how well I am doing. But I don't feel like I could go back to work. I'm going to take another two weeks and make sure I am rested and have a handle on my schedule and eating. Janice

I had surgery Monday and I could work at home now if I had a job. I'm going crazy since I can't drive. Walked the dog, cleaned up some of the yard (small jobs), then watch a lot of tv. Although everyone is different and each surgery is different, you are probably the only one who knows the answer. Don't rush back to work if your job requires and lifting, or bending. Best of luck. Check back in after surgery. Dotti
