March 4th Surgery Date

Hi there my fellow March surgery people! I was originally a Feb 15th surgery girl but the scheduler made a mistake and scheduled me for a day my surgeon wouldn't even be there, so here I am. Finished all my last preop bloodwork and paperwork yesterday, so I'm all set for surgery now. Mine has been a long time coming. Been researching for a long time, and with us being a military family, my husband wanted me to wait to have surgery until he was in the same country as I am. So after a move in August to here in Washington state and him not deploying again anytime real soon, it's finally my turn. Nice to meet you all and good luck with your upcoming surgeries and I wish you all a speedy recovery.

Shelley, That stinks, but the good thing is you are a Marcher, and one day after me. Good luck to you and wishing you a complication free surgery, and a speedy recovery!!

Hello Shelley, My Lap-Band surgery was March 4th and I am doing good although I can't tell if I am losing much. I go to the doctor Thursday for my first checkup. How about you? How are you feeling? Which surgery did you have? I still get hungry since I am still eating mostly liquids like soups, yogurt, pudding and SF popsicles. I am trying to get in more exercise. I am walking about a mile a day and ride my bicycle for two mile every other day. I still can't do any old fashioned exercise because my abdomen is sore. I think I was looking for more weight loss and I have to remember that the pounds came on because of years of over-eating and it may take a while to get off. However, once off, my goal is to keep it off. Look forward to hearing from others who had surgery about the same time. Let's cheer each other on to a new and healthier life!
