I am Catching a Cold ... YIKES

I am coming down with a cold and am so freaked. Number 1) I HATE catching cold as it is very rare for me and very uncomfortable to have a stuffy nose. UGH. Number 2) You can't have surgery with a cold, right? Guess I will call my doc today and see what I can do. Am tempted to call in sick to work so I can baby myself out of this. What do y'all suggest?? I'm catching one too. Maybe even the flu. I went to PA this last weekend and my daughter had full fledge influenza, now I wonder if I have it now. I am on the liquid pre-surgery diet. And truely not sure what I should do. Huggz, Jess

I just got over Bronchitis and the flu 2 weeks ago. Now I woke up sick again today! This season is horrible. I thought it was allergies, but starting to figure out, it's going to be more than that again!

I felt so relieved to hear from so many that a cold about now in the process is normal (from stress). The Zicam is working WONDERS!

Yeah, I'm having the flu.... for the THIRD time this year... AND I had the flu shot ! NOT FAIR My hope, of course, is that I will have NO MORE FLU or COLDS before the blessed surgery. This'll drive me crazy until then. I was given some mini quick spray hand sanitizers. I'm going to bring one with me to school (I'm a teacher) and every time I have to touch what 160 students' hands have touched, I'm goint to sanitize my hands! Yessiree. Gotta keep the germs at bay!

I also used "stuff" from that old website of mine to spiff up my profile. I like to change my name/avatar frequently.... but I like this newest one, so I'll keep it for a while.

Ok, not the flu again. It's sunitus..something like that. She said it wouldn't interfere with the surgery. She gave me a steroid shot in my bottom and sent me on my way with three more prescriptions

I am going to call the surgeons again tomorrow. The idea of having it cancelled when I walk in just really is sending me in to a tizzy and the stress can't be good for healing. In the meantime, with post nasal drip, I can't stand the thought of eating so the pre-op diet is easy to adhere to! Haha
