Aiming for March

I am aiming for March due to work schedule. So, who else out there is scheduled, or wanting to have WLS in March. I am waiting on approval, but since my BMI is so high I am not too worried. I am pushing towards the DS. What is everyone else looking at? My friend had the DS last May and she is doing awesome. I only hope I do as well as she does. I started going to group meetings in November and the group has taught me alot. I am looking forward to our January meeting.

Pam, I am in the same boat as you work is holding me back and I am aiming for March. I have my approval already so I am just waiting for a slow down at work. I am having rny. My surgeon requires I attend 3 support group meetings prior to my surgery. I have aleady done that and I relly enjoy the meetings. I too have learned alot. I have also learned a vast amount from this website. People here are so helpful. I look forward to hearing from you again Peggy

I have only been to one support group meeting. It was in Nov and I really enjoyed it. There was no meeting in Dec and then next one is in two weeks. I am ready to talk with more people in my area!

We have multiple support groups each month. there are 4 or 5 I think. I am attending as many as I can right now.

I'm scheduled for March 7th! My insurance has approved and I am on go, but I am also committed at wor****il the end of February. Good luck to everybody!

Jason, That is great news!! I won't get a date until much closer. I have the final consult with my surgeon on February 26 and after that they schedule the surgery.

I am aiming for march too, the 1st week hopefully. I was approved on the 17th and just waiting on approval to be received by surgeon office, once they get the letter I can go and pay my fees and be scheduled which I am hoping they get the letter next week. I am excited.. Rahsheeda

I was approved on Dec. 14th and after 2 or 3 calls to the insurance company and being told a letter was being sent in the first conversation, it finally arrived. The letter was dated Jan. 4th. You may want to contact your insurance company if the letter doesn't appear within a reasonable time.
