Hi, just wanted to share my great news.....I have a date for my DS surgery....March 20th. I'm so excited, but I am also so nervous. I am having it done in Curitiba Brazil since I'm having to pay for it without insurance. Just curious to talk with anyone else who has used Dr. Marchesini, or had the DS, or anything else they would like to share.

Hi, I got my date today March 19th! All depends on someone cancelling at the sleep test clinic otherwise it will be the end of April. Oh my go**** is real now I am excited!!!!!

Went to surgeons appt. on Jan. 29th. Somehow was preapproved for surgery. They scheduled me for March 7th!!! From now till than will get preop test done.
Having colonoscopy and endoscopy on Feb. 7th. They do them at same time I was told. Oh how fun! Not!!!!
I see several are around same date as me. We should keep in touch and support each other. I know I need all the information and support I can get.

March 8th here in lubbock texas!!!!!!! Im so excited and cant wait to join the rest of you on the losers bench! Who ever thought being called a loser would be so cool! As for what do you need to know: keep it real girl! Follow what your doctor tells you to do and the rest should fall into place! Im so ready and im excited for everyone else who is set up for this....Just remember...When you get really scared pretend we are all there to hold hands and we all wish each other well! We will all get through this okay and look so good when we are finished! Just dont give up!

Hi my name is Linda and I live in NM. I am scheduled for surgery on March 8th in Lubbock TX. I am a CNA at a local hospital on a med surg floor. I too feel a little over whelmed at times but I am very excited! Let me tell you this. My sister had the surgery in August, 2005. At her largest she weighed in at roughly 350+ pounds. Now she is an amazing 152! She looks so good and so healthy for the first time since I can remember. Referring to your questions: YES IT IS POSSIBLE TO EAT HEALTHY! The diet has changed since my sister had hers done but now the diet seems more "filling" if you will. And now, haha, my sister can actually run and play with her two small boys who are full of energy, something she couldnt even think about before. So please do yourself a favor: DO IT! I wish I had a pic to post of her on here to show you the difference, you wouldnt believe your eyes. i will have to get one. GOOD LUCK AND I WISH YOU THE BEST! TRY NOT TO BE SCARED! JUST REMEMBER: THIS IS FOR THE "NEW" AND BETTER YOU! I CANT WAIT TO SEE THE DIFFERENCE IT MAKES IN MY LIFE. ALL I KNOW IS MY LIFE WILL BE BETTER IN SO MANY WAYS AND THAT HELPS KILL OFF THE NEGATIVE FEELINGS, NO MATTER HOW LITTLE OR HOW MANY ONE MAY HAVE!
