Congratulations on your date. As far as protien drinks go, if you ask 20 people you will probably get 20 different answers and like the previous poster (David, i believe) said, your tastes will probably change after surgery. There are places on the net(bariatriceating.com is one) that you can order samples of different kinds to try. Have also been told that GNC will take back something if you try it and don't like it as long as you have the receipt.
Please keep us updated on how yopu are doing, again congrats.

Congratulations Sharmie, looks like we are gonna be surgery sisters and i like that.
I have been lurking on OH since October and the people here are just awesome, and very friendly too. No matter what the question someone will either give you advice, a shoulder to cry on, share the goodtimes with or just be there to hold your hand.
Please keep in touch and let us know how you are doing

Congrats Sharmie,
I got my date yesterday (3-15) and I understand those emotions. I got myself all fired up yesterday....but then the reality sunk in about what was going to happen.
This should be one interesting ride. Keep in touch here. You can get lots of good information.
Way to go on getting the date. The rest is easy!
Take care,
Dave

Howdy Ed....
Congrats on the date. Boy that is right around the corner!
Apparently what is "good" is seriously subjective. I have also heard that tastes can change dramatically after surgery. My Nutritionalist suggested getting a tasteless or very bland Protein powder. That way you can mix it with things until you get a drink you can tolerate.
Well...just my 2 cents.
Best of luck and let us know how it goes.

Congrats Jay....
I've been told that trying things before surgery is not the best idea. Of course that was after I bought a few of the products and tried them.
Apparently your tastes may change dramatically. The Nutritionalist I have been seeing has suggested just getting a very bland Protein powder or drink. She said you can always make it sweeter, but it is tough to make it "blander" if you can't tolerate it.
Again...congrats on your date....right around the corner.

MARCH 19th! Finally! After 4 denials and a postponement in Jan., insurance finally approved benefits and the date has been set.
