Topic: Busy Offline - Sorry I've been slow to update.
Ok, I admit it, I got surgery, got thinner, got healthier... and lost some of my bad habits, including SITTING for hours on end at a computer for FUN. I'm a much more "up and attem" kinda gal now... so I got a request to update on me, here it is. Today is 7 months & 2 weeks... I started at 345 lbs, I am now 232 lbs!! So I'm down 113 lbs from the start. I started in a size 30, and as of 2 months ago, I'm bordering 16 & 18. I haven't seen any further drop in size, but I think that's because the panni is just about as small as it's going to get. I'm looking into plastics now, because I expect that if I had that part done... I'd lose another 40 lbs of skin, and I would be only 20 lbs from my goal!! As for what's different? WOW... everything!! I don't get out of breath just walking, I FEEL sexy (despite the ugly skin, which I hide well). I am active and very rarely stay home now (thus the dramatic decrease in my online time). I am working full time as a Bariatric Coordinator now and LOVING IT!!! My whole life is about this surgery, but it's a GOOD thing, because it reminds me daily to stay on track, take my vits (mental block against those, it's a struggle), and get in plenty of protein and water... The most satisfying part? That my son is not ashamed to hang out with me now... and he's 15!! The next most satisfying part... is being able to help others to reach these same new "firsts" that I am finding so much delight in. Kat

From your profile, I can see that you've lost over 150 lbs. That's not bad at all! My doctor's office though I was a poster child too, and had me do a photo shoot for billboards, ads, and part of a commercial. It was pretty cool!

Awesome Dave!!! I am still a way from my goals. I started out much bigger than you. I am hoping to lose more than 80% too! But I will be happy with anything close to 200. (considering I was over 440lbs at my highest) You must shake your head sometimes in amazement at how far you have come. You should be the new poster boy for WLS. Congrats!!! Christina :clap

I'm now 7 months out this past week. I've had HUGE success, and wanted to get the word out: Highest weight: 350 DOS: 322 (3-13-07) Today: 199 My goal: 205 Total lost: 151 lbs !! From the statistics I had only expected to lose 80% of my obesity, and I'm now livin' NOT SO LARGE in the normal weight range. There are so many here who have been my inspiration and before and throught this process. I understand each of our journies is different. --Dave

Glad to hear you're doing well! I've added a morning "stimulant" to my diet which has helped with energy. It seems a little goes a long ways. --Dave 350/205/199

Way to be-- thanks for sharing!! I had a similar thought myself this week, where I thought that my life is less and less about losing, and more and more about living life. -Dave 350/205/199 (yep under goal)
