Thanks Dave, I DO drink coffee once or twice a day, but I drink decaf. I am going to switch that morning cup to high test. It's funny how I have become such a robot to the rules, but I know I have caffine in my crystal light peach iced tea, so a cup of high test in the am won't hurt me a bit. Thanks for the info on the other drinks, I will for sure be trying some of them, because I find I really get bored with the same old thing day after day. Continued success and good luck, Sandy

Here's what I do:
Sometimes I'll drink some water, and it will bide off my hunger.
If that doesn't work, I try to eat a snack high in grains, such as few Triscuit crackers or a few Sun chips. The high grains seem to sit in my stomach and make me feel full longer. The fiber also helps digestion.
I'll have to try to find a workout buddy...somehow I wonder if that's easier for ladies than guys.

If possible, find someone to exercise with. I have a friend at work who goes religiously. If she didn't go, I know I wouldn't either. Can you help me with motivation tips for the nighttime munchies?

Anybody out there have any tips on how to get re-motivated when it comes to exercise and working out? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Lots of folks like coffee. Supposively helps with digestion too. I know lots of people who are fond of Argentinian Yerba Mate (an herbal tea). I currently drink a zero carb "rock star" drink. It is only lightly carbonated, and I sip it. I like it better than the "sugar free" rock star drink. I've tried a few other brands of energy drinks in no carb formula too. I don't mind the "NOS" brand, but don't like "full throttle unleaded." I do OK with the light carbonation, and they also include an array of stimulants and b vitamins. I've also heard of people taking one caffene pill in the morning for a boost of energy.

Hi Dave,
Congrats on your success. You always have such encouraging words for everyone. Please tell me what your morning "stimulant" is. I get up every morning between 5 and 6 and am on my way to the "Y" by 5:30-6:00, and I must say that some mornings I am just pooped before I even leave the house. So please do share. Thanks....

Kat,
Good to hear how well things are going for you!!! You might not see this message because you are to busy to check and see our responses.... LOL Anyhow I can totally relate to your son not being ashamed to hang out with you now..... My sons are 12 and 13 and I am soooo happy I can go places now with out embarrasing them like I used to. I was so big I had to use a wheel chair, I couldn't stand for more than 2 minutes, or walk even one block. Now I can walk around the track at the High Scool, even though I have to stop and rest every couple of laps. Last year my husband had to wheel me out to the track to watch their Pop Warner Football games, how Humiliating. I thank God everyday for this surgery it gave me a whole new start on life.

Yea, you're back!!! I'm glad things are going so well. It's super cool that you are working in bariatrics, too. GOOD FOR YOU!!! Oh, and your picture looks great!! I have before, during and afters on my profile as well. I'm sad to admit it, but I still hate looking at the before pictures.

Thanks. I just keep having a little nagging feeling down deep . . . I need to control my eating!!!! But I do exercise and I recently increased the speed of my running, but not the distance. I don't think I will go over 3 miles. My sister wants me to run with her, but she is a marathon runner. YIKES! Running 12 miles for fun? I don't know about that. But maybe someday.
