Hi, I love salad. I had heard that you couldn't have salad once you've had the ROUEX N Y surgery. So I asked my dietician and she said that I could in about 6 months after my surgery. It won't be but a teaspoon but no reason why I couldn't...I know this isn't much help...but eventually you will be able to eat a very small one. Also...she said that she is thinking of adding refried beans because a lot of people that have had the surgery haven't had any problems with this food. NO gas. And it's great protein. You might try a taste of this. Deb

Hi gang...I had RNY on the 6th and can't believe how good I feel! I am following doctor's orders to a "t" and walking as much as I can. The first 2 days were pretty painful with the gas/bloating. This may sound funny, but I sat forward in a chair and had a friend "burp" me like a baby...that helped tremendously! I have not had any pain killers since Thursday morning, and have just showerd, and am going to go walk out side here in a little bit. I am tolerating the juice/water well, and tomorrow I introduce protein shakes into the day. Hope everyone else is feeling well too!
